The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavayé Yeguié Djibril has launched the 6th Caravan to promote farming among Youths .
He launched the event this 2nd April 2019 accompanied by two Ministers ; Mbairobe Gabriel Agriculture and Dr Taiga of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry.
The event saw 15 best young farmers and entrepreneurs decorated with Knight of Merit for Agriculture and the Cameroon Knight of Merit by Hon. Cavayé Yeguié Djibril on the instructions of President Paul Biya.
The fifteen youths are made up of

The head of the Youth Parliamentary Network, Gaston Komba donated farm inputs and equipment to the young farmers drawn from the twenty-one divisions of the Adamawa region.
Also during the ceremony, Ministers Mbairobe Gabriel and Dr Taiga handed end-of-course certificates to some young farmers and entrepreneurs, who were trained by the Youth Parliamentary Network.
Addressing the Youth, the House Speaker stressed on government’s determination to encourage an on-the-spot transformation of lo cally produced goods.
He challenged other youths to be inspired by the success stories of the fifteen honored this day.
Administrative authorities expressed gratitude to Parliament for the innitiative to curb unemployment among youths in the region.

17 young entrepreneurs are currently been drilled on entrepreneurial skills in a two-day workshop in Yaounde, at the end of which 3 will be selected to represent Cameroon at the 2019 pitch-up competition in Morocco.
70 at the beginning, only 17 managed to find their way into the net of the fortunate candidates to take part in the first part of the pitch-up entrepreneurship competition organized by Hub Africa, a platform that connects entrepreneurs with world investors, capitalists, and mentors.
The two-day workshop consists in reinforcing the entrepreneurial capacities of these young entrepreneurs in domains such as ability to convince, posture, presentation of project to name but these, so as to secure a win at the final pitch-up competition in Casablanca Morocco come June 2019.
The sectors from which the 17 projects were chosen are amongst others agriculture, finance, e-commerce and tracking.
Launching the competition in Cameroon, the Secretary General of the Ministry of small and medium size enterprises, Mme Marthe Chantal Mbajon representative of Minister Achille Bassilekin III, lauded the initiative that gives exposure to young African entrepreneurs.
The Pitch-up competition which is at its 7th edition will run under the theme, “Open innovation, a lever for African Small and Medium size enterprises.”

An enthusiastic crowd of over 25.000 people, comprising nursery school kids, primary school pupils, secondary and high school students, in Banganté, as well as cultural ,social and religious groups, sports associations, and supporters of the CPDM party, converged on the Banganté ceremonial ground on February 11, in jubilant style, to give the 53th edition of the National youth day the pomp and gaiety it deserved .
The ecstatic occasion in Banganté was presided at by the SDO for Nde, Oumarou Hamman Wabi. The first attraction was that, the streets of Banganté were decorated with the national colour, as every 10 meters the national flag was seen flying.
Spectacular highlights in 2019 edition in Banganté was the superb march-past by the students of the Lycee bilingue Banganté, strapped with national colours and carrying the effigy of the Head of state and paraded pass the grandstand, receiving cheers from officials who mounted the grandstand. Another spectacle was the full participation of traditional dance groups, which helped to showcase the rich culture of the ten regions cultural heritage of Cameroon. Youths associations and militants of the youth wing of the CPDM party who massively took part in the march past, carried placards with messages like, No to secession, Yes to national unity and integration, Cameroon remains one and indivisible, unity brings peace, love and togetherness, and disunity brings violence and hatred. Speaking to the press at the end of the march past, SDO for Nde Oumarou Hamman Wabi, expressed total satisfaction that the youths exhibited a lot of discipline and patriotism during the over three hours march past, adding that it was clear indications that these youths listened and digested the Head of State message with much concern and interest. He said the demonstration of the youths in Banganté added more value as, these youths showed proof that Banganté is behind President Paul Biya. As tradition goes, prizes were handed over to the best schools that performed well during the youth week activities and youth week competitions.
